How Youtube Treat Creators - part I.

 Several things you never wanted to know about youtube (especially if you are a creator) – part I.:

1. They give you no answers but the general one from the YouTube studio. If there is an exception to the rule, let me know your experience.

2. They don't really care if they delete you or not.

3. The support team is a bunch of robots answering your questions. Aka copying answers from their online available guidelines. Or aren't they? 

4. It Is not that deleting your account always equals not being able to create a new account. I have seen many cases where there was no problem creating a new account for those who lost their account. What causes the problem to create a new account though is you being mentally exhausted from having an account deleted and never being sure about what the rules are or how youtube is going to apply them on you specifically. Especially if you are specializing in a specific type of videos. 

5. Copyright strike is much better than community guidelines strike. Why? I have no clue whatsoever so please, if anyone understands the reasoning, let me know in the comments below. 

6. If you think that people on YouTube support know anything about what you are going to ask them then think again, because most of the time they are not able to provide you with answers to simple general questions that require from them only yes, no or I don't know type of answer.

7. They make you wait, so they can connect your question to the reality of your channel no matter if you are really asking about your channel or not. Many times, they prefer not to answer you right away. After waiting and answering the first round of questions from youtube, you are being sent a message that they are going to answer you from then on via email. And then, no matter who you speak with or what you are asking, they are going to put you through hell by changing the person who is answering you. Understandable from a logical point of view, but if you take it that many of us are just nervous wrecks who are waiting for their answers from god-like youtube, it is not really a pleasant experience to not be answered by one person. I understand that many of us don't undergo this first Circle of Hell. God be blessed, I no longer care about being ashamed or feeling an embarrassment over these types of things (and shame on me if I did). But then again, I can understand people with different experiences and people of a different nature and people with a different education than me would have issues about this politics. But for YouTube, it's something on a regular basis. Refusing people. no matter what obstacles they even must overcome before approaching YTB (social awkwardness, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, health issues prevent you from doing something the way youtube wants? But youtube does not care – only a tip of the iceberg, see below for more).

8. What is the most problematic thing about it is though not that you are changing the person who is answering your questions, the most problematic thing about it is that you must pay a detailed attention if they are really answering your questions or just providing you with nonsense that you could have read on guidelines available online. Many times, if you don’t try to verify if they understood your questions correctly and if you really don't force exactly what you are asking for out of them then you are not going to be given any answer. To really get what you are asking for usually requires you to wait for the correct only one answer you are waiting for for days, not asking once but asking constantly to remind them that they didn't really answer the question. Nerve wracking? Oh yes, indeed. But give them please the time, they really need to come up with (suck out of their finger) a rule to say no to you, and that indeed were right, when they refused you.

Who has the patience and the nerves to wait for days and at the same time checking out if they understood your questions correctly, asking repeatedly if you realize that they didn't answer you properly, and forcing that answer out of them? Who (in their right mind) has the nerves for it, who has the time for it, who has the necessary persistence and endurance? But be very Insistent – this is exactly what they count on, that you are going to let it go. So please don't be confused about them overflowing with pretence of being nice and polite guys who are on your side because they are not. This is exactly what they are required to tell you and put in front of themselves as a barricade, put it between you and themselves to protect and shield themselves, to avert the s*** storm that is going to go their way. Because you have a certain feeling when you are going to go ask someone something on the support team right? And knowing what you know now, you are probably not going to be the most patient person in the world.

That is exactly what they are trying to manipulate to their advantage, and I feel a lot of sickness for that alone. The manipulation starts when you are waiting to be connected with someone, and maybe it starts the moment you realize that YouTube exists in this world. So be careful. Don't even read that first calming flow of nonsense they are going to send your way, if you can avoid it, please. It doesn't serve a purpose for you.

On the other hand, don't worry about how they are going to take you or how they are going to view you and your channel based on your “punishments” on it – they are going to be very polite with you and even though if you are not 100% correct in the communication and if you are not 100% polite in the communication. They are still going to stick to that pretence, and they are going to be polite. After all, their answers are being controlled, manipulated, and discussed and checked by those above them – the biggest part of it in advance. So, you really don't have to fear anything in terms of the response – except for being refused, which you are going to be in 99.9 %. Just be prepared for it and be prepared they are not going to listen to reasons. But – If you need the “polite sauce” in conversation, you are going to get it. For sure. For free. … Well kind of.
